The Genesis Ministries Recovery Program is for men committed to change addictive behaviors through the power of and for the glory of Jesus Christ. The applicant must be committed to honesty and a life of recovery.
The applicant also must:
- Have received Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior, or be committed to learning about the Christian life.
- Have a sincere desire for godly, positive change in his life.
- Have been clean and sober from mood altering substances for at least 3days and have completed any necessary detox treatment.
- Be evaluated by Genesis staff for compatibility with the facility living environment. This will include an evaluation of the client’s conviction. Due to the location of the living facility, potential clients with sex-offender convictions are restricted from admission to the program. .
- Be recommended by a pastor, Christian church leader, chaplain, institution counselor, PO, or Prison Fellowship volunteer.
- Be committed to being involved in a mentoring relationship with one or more Christians, and serving in a local Christian Church.
- Be willing to abide by facility rules.
- Be willing to do assigned work in the house, neighborhood, and the community.
- Be willing to adhere to money management practices.
- Be committed to completing the phases of the recovery program.
- Have a social security number, current I.D., and submit to an arrest warrant check.
- Thoroughly complete the application.
